Job summary

Porta Products in Oberon NSW is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead our 24/7 manufacturing facility. This full-time role requires driving maintenance operations to maximise plant efficiency and minimise downtime while building strong relationships across production teams.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical) and a proven ability to develop practical solutions for repetitive failures, coupled with excellent communication and coaching skills.

Qualifications

• Lead a maintenance team in a large facility.
• Experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Develop solutions for repetitive failures affecting plant operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and coaching.
• Ability to build strong cross‑department relationships.
• Experience in MDF/manufacturing is highly regarded.

MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Due to growth in the company Porta Products, Oberon NSW are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our team. The role is on a full-time permanent basis.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at our Oberon Manufacturing facility.

Leading the maintenance team at this large facility, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance operations in order to maximise plant efficiency and reduce machine downtime. This is a hands-on role, and you will need to build and maintain close working relationships with all production departments and drive your team towards the continuous improvement in performance and processes.

Our Oberon manufacturing facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Maintenance Manager will be required to ensure appropriate support is available at all times for our production operations.

To be considered for this position you will have:

• Demonstrated experience leading a maintenance team
• Demonstrated experience working in a complex manufacturing environment
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in an appropriate engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical)
• Ability to develop solutions for repetitive failures that adversely affect plant operationsExcellent written, verbal communication and coaching skills
• The ability to build strong relationships across different departments within the company
• Please note that previous experience within a MDF or Manufacturing would be highly regarded
