Job summary

Thiess Eva Copper Alliance is seeking an experienced FMS Technology & Communications Technician to support safe, efficient production alongside a high-performing maintenance team.

You will develop, install, and maintain Wi‑Fi, radio, and wireless systems, service Fleet Monitoring Systems, site telecoms and autonomous fleet networks on the Eva Copper Mine Project in North West Queensland.

Qualifications

• 2+ years industry experience with fleet monitoring systems and telecommunications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, install and commission Wi‑Fi, radio and wireless systems.
• Servicing, repair and maintenance of Fleet Monitoring Systems and site telecommunications.
• Manage Wi‑Fi links and wireless networks across the site.
• Support autonomous fleet networks and related infrastructure.
• Work safely and comply with Site Safety Health and Management System.

The Opportunity:

Our Maintenance department at Eva Copper is currently seeking an experienced and motivatedFMS Technology & Communications Technician. Our next FMS/Ivolve Technician will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.

As a key member of the Eva Copper Alliance team, you’ll be responsible for supporting safe, efficient production across our fleet while working with a high-performing maintenance team.

As the FMS Technology & Communications Technician, you will:

• Develop, install and commission various Wi‑Fi, radio and wireless systems
• Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of the following systems: Fleet Monitoring Systems
• Site telecommunications
• Wi‑Fi links & wireless networks
• Autonomous fleet networks
• Work safely and comply with the Site Safety Health and Management System
• Respond to breakdowns on site FMS and autonomous equipment and networks
• Source technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems
• Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
• Conduct required inspections to maximise equipment utilisation
