Job summary

Thiess is seeking an experienced Maintenance Leading Hand for the Eva Copper Mine Project in the Cloncurry region of Queensland. The role involves leading a mobile maintenance team and supporting safe, efficient production across the fleet on a 2:2 roster.

You will bring Cert III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent and demonstrated mining supervision experience, with a strong emphasis on health and safety.

Qualifications

• Proven mining experience with exposure to leading or supervising mobile maintenance HD Fitters.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• You will also need to always possess high regard and practice health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead a skilled mobile maintenance team following Supervisors' and Superintendents' directives
• Fulfil the Maintenance Supervisors' duties in their absence
• Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of equipment as directed in accordance with servicing and maintenance systems documentation
• Source technical information from manuals, bulletins and computer-based systems
• Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel
• Source and requisition parts and/or equipment through appropriate publications using the correct ordering procedure
• Verify the implementation of solutions and/or control non-conforming machinery until restored

Job Description

Are you an experienced and motivated Maintenance Leading Hands with a passion for adventure? Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Maintenance Leading Hands to join our high-performing team at the Eva Copper Mine Project, in the Cloncurry region of Queensland, Australia.

As a key member of the Eva Copper Alliance team, you'll be responsible for supporting safe, efficient production across our fleet while working with a high-performing maintenance team.

As The Maintenance Leading Hands, You Will

• Lead a skilled mobile maintenance team following Supervisors' and Superintendents' directives
• Fulfil the Maintenance Supervisors' duties in their absence
• Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication, and maintenance systems documentation
• Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer-based systems
• Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel
• Source and requisition parts and/or equipment requirements through the appropriate manuals or publications using the correct ordering procedure
• Verify the implementation of solutions and/or control further non-conforming machinery until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected
