Job summary

ISS Facility Management Pty Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Officer / Handyperson to work at our national sites in Melbourne and Sydney. You will perform day-to-day maintenance, repairs and site improvements to a high standard, while complying with safety and client requirements.

Key tasks include responding to requests promptly, taking part in inspections, and assisting with the FMS/CMMS to manage service requests. All tools are supplied and a competitive salary is on offer.

Qualifications

• Tradesperson with maintenance/handyperson experience on commercial sites.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and safety procedures.
• Experience with basic plumbing, electrical work and site cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests to meet ISS KPIs with minimal disruption.
• Complete general maintenance and repairs to a high standard on site.
• Carry out site inspections and report faults for action.
• Assist with Office Services and use FMS/CMMS to raise/close service requests.

  We are looking for expressions of interest from suitably qualified Maintenance Officer / Handyperson to work at our various National sites in Melbourne and Sydney.

  The Maintenance Officer will be responsible for performing the day-to-day general maintenance, upkeep and general repairs as required onsite, in a timely and safe manner which complies with ISS, client and building industry specified work standards.

  Key tasks include:

  • Respond promptly to customer requests for maintenance assistance in order to meet ISS KPIs and to minimise disruption to client operations.
  • Complete all general maintenance and relevant repairs to a high standard at all times.
  • Maintenance tasks include; minor plumbing, electrical, fixtures and site clean-up as necessary.
  • Carry out site inspections to identify, report and action faults and items for repair.
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in keeping an up to date inventory of spare parts and consumables on site.
  • Assist with Office Services and using our FMS/CMMS to raise and close off service requests and work orders.

  Minimum Criteria:

  A confident and technically minded tradesperson, with well developed communication skills and suitable personal presentation to work across operational commercial sites and complete work with the minimum of disruption to our banking client.

  • Previous experience working in a maintenance or handyperson capacity on operational commercial sites;
  • Working at heights and on elevated work platforms certification;
  • Experience identifying and procuring resources and materials required for maintenance tasks;
  • Solid experience in WHS and prepare risk assessments (JSA and SWMS);
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise to meet short deadlines;
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers and contractors;
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite in order to produce reports and proficient use of computer systems;
  • Current Class C/Open Driver's License;
  • Willing to complete background/probity check (National Police Check, ASIC – financial services).

  Experience working in the FM or property management industry and/or exposure to asset management and life cycles of equipment, fixtures and fittings, along with the following qualifications will be an advantage; Trade (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc), OH&S Certificate, Manual Handling, Forklift licence.
