Job summary

Ozcare is seeking a Maintenance / Handyperson for our Mackay Aged Care Facility. You will look after the facility and grounds, perform general maintenance, manage waste, and support daily operations to ensure a safe, clean environment for residents.

Role requires stock management, basic computer skills, and a current Queensland driver’s licence; First Aid & CPR and police screening are also required. The position offers a full-time roster with benefits.

Qualifications

• Police Screening Certificate required before starting.
• Available Monday to Friday 7:00–15:30.
• Stock management and general maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Current Queensland driver’s licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general maintenance of the property and grounds.
• Manage garbage disposal and ensure bins are properly loaded and cleaned.
• Maintain maintenance schedules and perform scheduled checks.
• Drive Ozcare vehicles as required.
• Undertake courier and delivery duties.
• Coordinate with gardening team.

Job description

We have a full time role for a Maintenance / Handyperson at our beautiful Mackay Aged Care Facility.

Your Role

As a Maintenance / Handyperson you will be looking after the facility and grounds for the most important people in our organisation - our clients.

Your tasks will include:

• Assist with general maintenance of the property, general care and securing of all equipment before leaving the facility each day
• Manage garbage disposal by ensuring that refuse bins are always properly loaded, positioned for pick up and cleaned after pick up
• Maintain maintenance schedules outlines in the duties list and ensure all scheduled checks are carried out
• Perform driving duties of Ozcare vehicles as required
• Undertake courier and delivery duties as required
• Liaising with the gardening team

• Current Police Screening Certificate
