Job summary

Ozcare is seeking a Maintenance/Handyperson for our Mackay aged care facility, full-time, on-site. You will look after the property and grounds, perform driving and courier duties as needed, and coordinate with the gardening team to keep the site safe and well maintained.

The role requires a current Police Screening Certificate, a Queensland driver’s licence, and a demonstrated stock-management capability. Desirable Cert 3 or trade qualification in building, plus First Aid/CPR certificates.

Qualifications

• Current Police Screening Certificate.
• Available Monday – Friday 7:00 – 15:30.
• Demonstrated experience in stock management.
• Current Queensland driver's licence.
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general maintenance of the property, general care and securing of all equipment before leaving the facility each day.
• Manage garbage disposal by ensuring refuse bins are loaded, positioned for pick up and cleaned after pick up.
• Maintain maintenance schedules outlines in the duties list and ensure all scheduled checks are carried out.
• Perform driving duties of Ozcare vehicles as required.
• Undertake courier and delivery duties as required.
• Liaising with the gardening team.
