Job summary

Labour Hire Services Limited is seeking a maintenance fitter for a full-time role in NSW. The successful applicant will provide hands-on maintenance and technical support to the production team, performing fault finding, repairs and troubleshooting on plant equipment.

The role requires strong experience with pumps, conveyors, bearings, hydraulics and pneumatics, plus ability to read drawings and plan maintenance while keeping safety and quality at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance or similar role within manufacturing, processing or industrial environments.
• Trade qualification (Cert 111) in Mechanical Fitting or related discipline.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Strong hands-on maintenance experience with pumps, conveyors, bearings; MIG welding, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Experience managing maintenance schedules, resources and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the production team.
• Perform hands-on maintenance, fault finding, repairs and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
• Coordinate and assist with breakdown maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise output.
• Plan preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
• Analyse maintenance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Work closely with production teams to optimise equipment performance and reliability.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and in compliance with procedures and legislative requirements.
• Manage on‑call external maintenance contractors.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic & reliable maintenance fitter for immediate start.

This is a full-time position working a day shift roster. We expect some flexibility with this.

Duties and responsibilities

• Providing technical support to the production team
• Performing hands-on maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and troubleshooting of plant equipment
