Job summary

CGC Recruitment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join an established Australian-owned business at its Blacktown facility. In a heavy industrial environment, you will maintain and repair mobile and fixed plant equipment, performing preventative maintenance, fault finding and breakdown repairs to keep operations safe and efficient.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate with regular overtime, varied site work across plant and equipment, and opportunities to develop your skills

Qualifications

• Australian-recognised mechanical trade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering or equivalent).
• At least two years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Welding and oxy-cutting experience advantageous.
• Reliable, safety-focused and willing to learn specialist equipment.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the role.
• Australian working rights and ability to pass drug/alcohol screening and police check.

Job description

An opportunity is available for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join an established Australian-owned business at its Blacktown facility.

Working in a heavy industrial environment, youll maintain and repair a variety of mobile and fixed plant equipment. This hands-on role combines preventative maintenance, fault finding and breakdown repairs to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

The Role

• Carry out preventative maintenance across mobile and fixed plant
• Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs
• Respond to breakdowns to minimise equipment downtime
• Work closely with the maintenance and operations teams
• Maintain safe working practices across all tasks

Hours

Monday-Friday: 5:00 am-3:30 pm

Saturday: Half shift

About You

• Australian-recognised mechanical trade qualification - Certificate III in Engineering or equivalent
• At least two years of relevant maintenance experience
