Job summary

Eurobodalla Shire Council in Moruya invites applications for a full-time, permanent Water and Sewerage trades position. You will machine, fabricate and repair components, and actively engage in improvements to systems and processes.

The successful candidate will hold a Trade Certificate with relevant experience, work well in a small team and demonstrate strong communication and self-motivation. Applications close as specified in the job posting.

Job description

This position is a full-time, permanent rolein the Water and Sewerage team, based at Moruya. The success ful candidate will use a range of skills to machine, fabricate and repair components/equipment and perform other metal trade tasks as required. To actively engage in and progress innovation and system improvements.

The starting salary for this position is $3,242.05 per fortnight, plus 12% superannuation.

About you

The successful applicant will possess a Trade Certificate with relevant experience in fitting/machining/assembly process, and the ability to work well in a small team. Your interest in the field, strong communication and self-motivated approach will be a standout and contribute to your overall success and job satisfaction. Your application will further demonstrate:

  • Experience working on fixed and mobile plant, light vehicles, heavy vehicles and earthmoving equipment.
  • Fitness and ability to work at heights and in underground/confined spaces.
  • Ability to work productively on your own, and harmoniously in a small team.
  • Ability to utilise technology and software programs.

Screening process
