Job summary

Eurobodalla Shire Council is seeking a qualified electrician for a full-time, permanent role based at Moruya Depot. You will maintain, install, test and repair electrical, control, instrumentation and communication systems across the council's water and sewer network to ensure reliable service delivery to the community.

The starting salary is $3,109.80 per fortnight, plus 12% superannuation, with opportunities to contribute to a safe, collaborative team and gain valuable experience across

  • Safety-focused, organised, and able to solve technical problems independently or in a team.
  • Experience with control, instrumentation, telemetry or PLC systems is highly regarded.

Job description

This position is a full-time, permanent role in the Water and Sewerage team, based at Moruya Depot. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, installing, testing and repairing electrical, control, instrumentation and communication systems across Council's water and sewer network. Working across a range of critical infrastructure assets, you will help ensure the reliable delivery of essential water and sewer services to the community.

The starting salary for this position is $3,109.80 per fortnight, plus 12% superannuation

About you

You're a qualified electrician with experience maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems in an industrial, utilities or similar environment. You are safety-focused, organised and enjoy solving technical problems while working both independently and as part of a team. Experience with control, instrumentation, telemetry or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) systems will be highly regarded. Strong communication skills and a willingness to share knowledge with colleagues and apprentices will help you succeed in this role.

Screening process

Pre‑employment Checks:

As part of our recruitment process, you may be asked to provide contact details for two work‑related referees. These will be collected at the interview stage. At least one referee should be your current supervisor or a recent past supervisor (of at least three months).

Depending on the position, successful applicants may also be required to complete a Criminal History Check, Medical Assessment and/or a Working with Children Check.
