Job summary

JBS Riverina in New South Wales is seeking a Maintenance/Shift Electrician to keep our electrical systems in top condition, support safety and quality in food production, and troubleshoot issues. You will perform preventive maintenance and help optimize operations in a fast-paced plant.

This full-time role offers day and afternoon shifts, competitive hourly rates starting at $41.27 plus penalties and overtime, and opportunities for career growth within a leading global organisation.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as a maintenance electrician in a food production environment.
• Solid knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuit design.
• Familiarity with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Able to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Good communication to collaborate with colleagues.

About You

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician, preferably in the food production industry
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuit design
• Familiarity with local electrical codes and safety regulations
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members

JBS Australia is the largest and most respected meat and food producer in Australia. Situated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Plant is a part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot and processing operation. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress and transportation costs, while simultaneously improving eating quality – one of only two in the southern hemisphere. Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), our location ensures the ability to source high quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef. The plant employs approximately 500 team members with a processing capacity of 600 head of cattle per day.
