• Have an electrical trade qualification and be experienced in maintenance/repair.
• Previous experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is required.
• Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures is essential.
• Possess a thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices.
• Be willing to receive a QFever vaccination.

Job description

JBS Australia's Southern Division, headquartered in Melbourne, has the largest multi-species processing facility in Australia, processing beef, sheep, and goats. JBS Southern processing facilities have access to all major international markets, providing our livestock suppliers with a range of markets and brand opportunities.

Located 3 hours north of Melbourne, the Cobram Plant is located on the banks of the Murray River. This location offers a relaxed lifestyle, providing great facilities for employees and their families.

The Cobram Plant specialises in processing sheep and goats and has the ability to handle over 4,000 head per day, operating five days per week. Growing to employ over 350 employees, the Cobram Plant offers excellent career opportunities across many aspects of meat processing.

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced Electricians to join our Day and Afternoon Shift teams in a full-time capacity. These roles will best suit motivated individuals who are committed to providing an effective and professional service and who seek to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the availability, reliability and capability of relevant assets
• Monitoring follow-up and addressing issues associated with the implementation and process of planned and unplanned maintenance tasks
• Ensuring the continuous improvement of equipment and systems.

About You

• Have an electrical trade qualification and be experienced in maintenance/repair
• Previous experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures
• Possess a thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices
• Be willing to receive a QFever vaccination
