Job summary

PYBAR Mining Services Pty is seeking an experienced Underground Electrician to support its Raisebore Division in South Australia’s Prominent Hill Mine. This full-time role on a 14 on/14 off roster includes flights, accommodation and meals.

You will perform planned and breakdown maintenance, diagnose faults, test systems and maintain accurate records to maximise equipment availability. Applicants must hold an Electrical licence and have underground mining experience, with strong communication

• Inspecting, testing and repairing electrical systems to ensure equipment reliability.
• Conducting preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise equipment availability.
• Maintaining accurate service records and inspection documentation.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures and company policies.
• Collaborating with operations and maintenance teams to achieve production targets.

The services we provide range from mine development, production, cable bolting and drilling, raise boring, shotcreting and fleet.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently looking for experienced underground Electrician to support our Raisebore Division in South Australia at the Prominent Hill Mine Site. Working autonomously as well as part of a team and ensuring a high quality of work, you expand your experience and knowledge of underground Electrician maintenance.

This position will see you working a 14 on, 14 off roster in a full-time position with flights, accommodation and meals covered.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Performing planned and breakdown maintenance on Raisebore and underground mining equipment.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults on mobile and fixed plant equipment.
• Inspecting, testing and repairing electrical systems to ensure equipment reliability and compliance.
• Conducting preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise equipment availability.
• Maintaining accurate service records, maintenance reports and inspection documentation.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures, statutory requirements and company policies.
• Working collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams to achieve production targets.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Relevant Electrical licence
• Proven experience working in an underground Mine (Essential)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A positive can-do attitude with the ability to work as part of a team
• A strong focus on safety
• Hold a current Australian Manual Drivers License
• Hold or be willing to obtain a current National Police Clearance.
