Job summary

PYBAR Mining Services Pty is seeking a highly experienced Development Supervisor to join the Jericho project on the east coast. You will lead underground development crews, collaborate with site management and technical teams, and ensure safe, efficient delivery in line with operational plans.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement, with flights, accommodation and meals provided at site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Shift Supervisor or similar position.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Underground Hardrock mining.
• Development experience required.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capabilities.
• Current First Aid Certificate (Advantageous).
• Queensland Explosives Security Clearance (QESC).
• QMS123/G189 compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide day to day supervision, mentorship and leadership to the underground team.
• Monitor and supervise underground mining activities.
• Promote safety behaviours and accountability across the site.
• Use digital tools (e.g. INX) to record and monitor tasks.
• Communicate effectively with PYBAR team members and stakeholders.

The services we provide range from mine development, production, cable bolting and drilling, raise boring, shotcreting and haulage fleet.

THE OPPORTUNITY

PYBAR is currently seeking a highly experienced and driven Development Supervisor to join our Jericho project. Multiple points of hire will be considered across the east coast, with flights included, and accommodation and meals provided at site.

As a Development Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for leading crews to deliver safe and efficient development works. Working closely with site management and technical teams, you’ll ensure compliance with operational plans, drive performance, and maintain a strong focus on safety, teamwork and continuous improvement underground.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide day to day supervision, mentorship and leadership to the underground team
• Monitor and supervise underground mining activities
• Promote positive safety behaviours and help build a culture of accountability, ownership and safety first thinking across the site.
• Use digital tools (e.g. INX) to record and monitor tasks
• Communicate effectively with PYBAR team members and relevant stakeholders

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Shift Supervisor or similar position (Essential)
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Underground Hardrock mining (Essential)
• Development experience (Essential).
• Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capabilities.
