Job summary

PYBAR Mining Services Pty is seeking an experienced Raisebore Supervisor to lead our raisebore teams on a full-time, site-based roster. The role requires supervising raisebore crews, coordinating plans and resources, and ensuring safety compliance on underground projects across our Australian sites.

Ideal candidates will have recent supervision experience, familiarity with raisebore equipment, and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Recent experience as Raisebore Supervisor (Essential).
• Experience with Raisebore equipment (Beneficial).
• Proven experience operating underground heavy equipment (Essential).
• Strong focus on safety.
• Positive can-do attitude and team player.
• Hold a current Australian Manual Drivers Licence.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a National Police Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Raisebore crews to safely execute drilling and raise boring activities.
• Coordinate daily work plans, resources, personnel and equipment.
• Monitor production targets and identify opportunities to improve productivity.
• Ensure all work complies with site safety systems, legislation and procedures.
• Conduct pre-start meetings, inspections, safety interactions and risk assessments.
• Mentor team members and foster a positive team culture.
• Liaise with client representatives and site stakeholders to meet requirements.

ABOUT US

PYBAR – a Thiess Company – is a leading provider of mining services, specialising in metalliferous underground hard rock mining. Since 1993, our success has been built on safe, efficient underground infrastructure development and consistent, reliable production.

We deliver projects across Australia, from large, established mining operations to greenfield developments. Our capabilities span mine development, production, cable bolting and drilling, raise boring, shotcreting, and fleet services.

THE OPPORTUNITY

PYBAR are seeking experienced Raisebore Supervisors to help lead our Teams in our Raisebore Division. To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate current or recent Supervisor experience.

This is a full time position on a 2 and 2 roster, offering points of hire from major airports in South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia. PYBAR will provide flights from your Point of Hire and accommodation, and meals are provided at site.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Leading and supervising Raisebore crews to safely execute drilling and raise boring activities.
• Coordinating daily work plans, resources, personnel, and equipment requirements.
• Monitoring production targets and identifying opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Ensuring all work is completed in compliance with site safety systems, legislation, and company procedures.
• Conducting pre-start meetings, workplace inspections, safety interactions, and risk assessments.
• Managing workforce performance, mentoring team members, and fostering a positive team culture.
• Liaising with client representatives and site stakeholders to ensure operational requirements are met.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Demonstrated recent experience Raisebore Supervisor Supervision (Essential)
• Experience working with Raisebore equipment (Beneficial)
• Have proven experience working on underground heavy equipment (Essential)
• A strong focus on safety
• A positive can-do attitude with the ability to work as part of a team
• Hold a current Australian Manual Drivers Licence
• Hold or be willing to obtain a National Police Clearance.
