Logan City Council is seeking a Maintenance and Security Support Officer on a contract basis to help keep people and facilities safe. • Physical capacity for maintenance work and manual handling.
• Understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
• Self-motivated with tact and the ability to deal with the public and staff.
• Current C Class driver’s licence.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor the City Administration Centre precinct and other Council facilities for public safety and equipment faults.
• Maintain an incident diary logging security and maintenance events.
• Assist the Security Team Leader and Maintenance Officer with security, asset maintenance and building services, including fire services.
• Coordinate basic contractors across Council facilities and report on issues needing attention.
• Open and close the City Administration Centre per Council procedures.
• Provide logistical support at civic functions and to the Disaster Coordination Centre as required.
• Administer the CAC carpool, ensuring vehicles are clean, serviced and in good repair.
• Represent Council professionally in all public dealings.

Maintenance and Security Support Officer

Osborne Richardson is assisting Logan City Council in its search for a Maintenance and Security Support Officer to join its Administration branch on a contract basis — a licensed security professional with a practical, hands-on approach to keeping people and facilities safe.

You’ll provide a security presence across the City Administration Centre precinct and other Council facilities, support the maintenance of Council assets, and help deliver civic functions smoothly.

This role suits someone who is reliable, personable and comfortable dealing with people at all levels, from members of the public to the Mayor and Councillors. You’ll make prompt, sound decisions and help create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the City Administration Centre precinct and other Council facilities, identifying risks to the public and plant or equipment failures
• Maintain an incident diary to log and action security and maintenance events
• Assist the Security Team Leader and Maintenance Officer with security, asset maintenance and building services, including security and fire services
• Coordinate basic contractors across Council facilities and report on matters requiring attention
• Open and close the City Administration Centre in line with Council procedures
• Provide logistical support at civic functions and to the Disaster Coordination Centre as required
• Administer the CAC carpool, ensuring vehicles are clean, serviced and in good repair
• Represent Council professionally in all public dealings

About You

• Demonstrated experience in the security industry and a Queensland Security Licence (Class 1) covering Crowd Controller, Unarmed Security Officer and Monitoring Security Officer
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels and make prompt, reliable decisions
• Ability to maintain accurate records, with well‑developed oral and written communication skills
• Confidence using computers and technology‑based systems
