Job summary
M&T Resources is seeking a Mainframe Developer to join a large-scale federal government technology program in Canberra. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, developing, enhancing, supporting and maintaining complex enterprise applications.

Qualifications
- Strong experience working within a Mainframe environment.
- Experience with COBOL, Adabas Natural, or similar mainframe technologies.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience supporting release and deployment activities.
Responsibilities
- Analyse, design, develop, test and maintain software solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop technical designs and implementation approaches for complex systems.
- Provide production support, maintenance and go-live assistance.
- Ensure adherence to software development methodologies and standards.
- Prepare technical documentation, progress reports and implementation artefacts.
- Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to release, deployment and configuration activities.
- Identify risks, issues and opportunities for continuous improvement.
