Job summary

Fivecast is seeking a Senior IT Support Engineer based in Adelaide, South Australia, to own the Jamf Pro environment and act as the macOS SME. You will tackle the most challenging tickets, design end-to-end solutions, and mentor junior staff.

The role covers macOS, Entra ID, Exchange Online, scripting, and close collaboration with InfoSec. The ideal candidate has 4–7 years in IT support and is capable of independent leadership.

Qualifications

• Based in Adelaide, South Australia.
• Australian Citizen and able to obtain Australian Government security clearance.
• 4-7 years' experience in IT support or systems administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Jamf Pro, Apple Business Manager and macOS.
• Ability to scope and design solutions from business requirements and produce a workable project plan.
• Scripting ability in Bash and/or Python.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Exchange Online.
• Autonomous and able to lead technical problem resolution.
• Clear communicator who can explain complex decisions to non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the Jamf Pro environment and act as the SME for macOS.
• Serve as L2/L3 escalation point for IT support, resolve escalated tickets and perform root cause analysis.
• Plan, design and implement system improvements: gather requirements, write a project plan, design the solution, and deliver it end to end.
• Manage zero touch deployment, configuration profiles, policies, app packaging and patch management across the Apple fleet.
• Develop scripts (Bash/Python) to automate deployment, configuration, remediation and reporting.
• Work with the InfoSec team to assess, design and maintain IT solutions that meet organisational security and compliance standards.
• Provide support for Microsoft 365, particularly Entra ID and Exchange Online.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and runbooks, and uplift the wider support team's Apple capability.
• Mentor junior IT staff and contribute to team planning and continuous improvement.
