Job summary

Borepoint Drilling & Excavation is seeking a hands-on Machine Operator / Truck Driver to join the field team in Canberra. The role blends driving your allocated truck with practical, on-site work across drilling, hydrovac and civil operations alongside drilling crews on projects around Canberra and the surrounding region.

Ideal candidates are mechanically minded, able to take ownership of equipment, enjoy outdoor work, and have experience in drilling, hydrovac, civil construction or earthmoving,

Qualifications

• Heavy vehicle licence required.
• Experience in drilling, hydrovac, civil construction, earthmoving or similar industries is highly regarded.
• Mechanically minded and practical with machinery.
• Comfortable working outdoors and getting hands dirty.

Responsibilities

• Drive and take day-to-day responsibility for your allocated truck.
• Keep the truck clean, maintained and ready for work.
• Identify basic maintenance issues before they become bigger problems.
• Perform hydrovac excavation and operation.
• Assist drilling operators and be an active member of the drilling crew.
• Set up and pack down equipment and worksites.
• Perform general civil and field work.
• Work safely around underground services, plant and machinery.
• Help the crew wherever required to get the job completed.
