Job summary

James Hardie Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Machine Operator for their Rosehill plant in NSW on a permanent full-time basis. The role involves operating concrete mixing, stacking, and molding equipment, with a forklift license required.

You will work a 4 on 4 off rotation: 2 x 12hr day shifts, followed by 2 x 12hr night shifts, and you must comply with safety procedures and participate in continuous improvement.

• Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of safety in the workplace
• Ability to use computers for the entry and retrieval of process data and machine operation
• Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
• All successful candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screening

You will be flexible and open to work across rotation shift Pattern / 4 on 4 off
2 x 12hr day shifts - 6am-6pm, followed by / 2 x 12hr night shifts, 6pm-6am

As a Machine Operator, you will hold a valid Forklift License and bring experience from a similar manufacturing environment. You’ll also have a willingness to learn the trade and develop the skills needed to succeed in the role.

• Setting up and installing molds and other machine fixtures
• Setting grinding and cutting edges
• Carry out work in a safe manner, in accordance with Safety procedures as applicable
• Ensure process efficiencies are achieved and maintained
• Ensure production is in line with the specified production schedule
• Ensure product quality is in accordance with relevant specifications and that process checks are performed as required
• Actively participate in improvement projects
• Manual Handling tasks are performed as part of this role
• Be flexible and adaptable with a willingness to embrace shift work
• Complying with all WHS safety practices and procedures
