Job summary

James Hardie is seeking an experienced Machine & Forklift Operator to support our Rosehill manufacturing operations in Sydney. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork within a fast-paced environment.

You will operate conveyors/machines, install fixtures, and handle stock with a forklift, while maintaining high housekeeping standards. The ideal candidate holds a current forklift license and a valid driver’s license, is safety-conscious, and prepared for manual labour as required.

Qualifications

• Current Forklift License and valid Driver's License.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Willingness to undertake manual labour as required.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Operating concrete mixing, stacking and splitting machines.
• Setting up and installing moulds and other machine fixtures.
• Collecting and examining samples for conformity to specifications and adjusting machine settings accordingly.
• Setting grinding and cutting edges.
• Forklift pre-start checklist daily.
• Unloading off machinery and moving product to necessary location.
• Putting stock away and moving stock around using the forklift.
• Performing manual handling tasks of up to 20kg.
• Maintaining housekeeping standards across the work area.
