Job summary

James Hardie in Parramatta, NSW, is seeking a Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will operate concrete mixing, stacking and splitting machines, set up molds, and ensure safety and quality on the line.

The role requires a valid Forklift License, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to use computer systems for process data entry. You will work across a 4-on/4-off rotation and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Operate concrete mixing, stacking and splitting machines.
• Set up and install molds and other machine fixtures.
• Set grinding and cutting edges.
• Carry out work in a safe manner, following Safety procedures.
• Ensure process efficiencies and production schedule alignment.
• Ensure product quality in line with specifications and perform checks.
• Participate in improvement projects.
• Perform manual handling tasks as part of the role.
• Be flexible to shift work (4 on 4 off).
• Comply with WHS safety practices and procedures.

What You Will Need

• Valid Forklift License
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of safety in the workplace
• Ability to use computers for the entry and retrieval of process data and machine operation
• Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
• All successful candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screening

You will be flexible and open to work across rotation shift Pattern / 4 on 4 off
2 x 12hr day shifts – 6am-6pm, followed by / 2 x 12hr night shifts, 6pm-6am

As a Machine Operator, you will hold a valid Forklift License and bring experience from a similar manufacturing environment. You’ll also have a willingness to learn the trade and develop the skills needed to succeed in the role.
