Job summary

James Hardie Australia Pty Ltd in Carole Park is seeking a Day & Night Shift Operator - Manufacturing to run concrete mixing, stacking and molding processes. You will hold a valid Forklift License and bring hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires safe work practices, data entry using computer systems, and flexibility to work 4 on 4 off with 2x12 hour shift blocks (6am-6pm then 6pm-6am). Training and career development are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a quality assurance environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of safety in the workplace.
• Ability to use computers for entry and retrieval of process data and machine operation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Operating concrete mixing, stacking and splitting machines.
• Setting up and installing molds and other machine fixtures.
• Setting grinding and cutting edges.
• Carry out work in a safe manner, in accordance with Safety procedures as applicable.
• Ensure process efficiencies are achieved and maintained.
• Ensure production is in line with the specified production schedule.
• Ensure product quality is in accordance with relevant specifications and that process checks are performed as required.
• Actively participate in improvement projects.
• Manual Handling tasks are performed as part of this role.
• Be flexible and adaptable with a willingness to embrace shift work.
• Complying with all WHS safety practices and procedures.

We are seeking a Machine Operator and Forklift Operator to support our Manufacturing team based in Carole Park.

What you will need:

• Previous experience in a quality assurance environment

• Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of safety in the workplace
• Ability to use computers for the entry and retrieval of process data and machine operation
• Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
• All successful candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screening.

You will be flexible and open to work across rotation shift Pattern / 4 on 4 off 2 x 12hr day shifts – 6am-6pm, followed by / 2 x 12hr night shifts, 6pm-6am

As a Machine Operator, you will hold a valid Forklift License and bring experience from a similar manufacturing environment. You’ll also have a willingness to learn the trade and develop the skills needed to succeed in the role.
