Gypsy Hub in Melbourne's inner north is seeking a hands-on Machine Operator and Line Supervisor to lead beverage production and packaging. You will operate, set up, and maintain equipment, supervise line staff, and ensure quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in beverage packaging operations.
• Experience operating carbonated beverage lines.
• Experience with beverage labelling equipment.
• Practical HACCP experience within a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding capabilities.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Experience supervising, training, and supporting production staff.

Gypsy Hub is a leading beverage manufacturing and co-packing business, providing end-to-end solutions from recipe development through to manufacturing, packaging, and bonded warehousing. Operating from our state-of-the-art HACCP certified facility in Melbourne's inner north, we partner with some of Australia's most exciting beverage brands.

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Machine Operator & Line Supervisor to join our production and packaging team.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for operating, maintaining, and overseeing beverage production and packaging lines while supporting and supervising line operators.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring production targets, quality standards, food safety requirements, and operational efficiencies are achieved every day.

Key Responsibilities

Operate, set up, adjust, and pack down beverage manufacturing equipment.

Perform changeovers and manage machine change parts.

Troubleshoot equipment issues and conduct preventative maintenance within competency levels.

Monitor machine and process performance to ensure product quality standards are met.

Identify and elevate quality or production concerns when required.

Execute production runs according to schedules, job instructions, and SOPs.

Work closely with Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams to ensure compliance.

Train, mentor, supervise, and support production line operators.

Accurately record production, quality, and operational data.

Conduct CIP cleaning and equipment sanitation.

Assist with warehousing and dispatch activities as required.

Maintain high standards of workplace safety, cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in beverage packaging operations.

Experience operating across:

Carbonated beverage lines

Experience with beverage labelling equipment.
