Job summary

Gypsy Hub in Melbourne's inner north is seeking a hands-on Machine Operator and Line Supervisor to lead beverage production and packaging. You will operate, set up, and maintain equipment, supervise line staff, and ensure quality and safety standards.

This role offers day or afternoon shifts, opportunities to improve processes, and a chance to work with an award-winning portfolio of beverage brands at a modern HACCP-certified facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in beverage packaging operations.
• Experience operating carbonated beverage lines.
• Experience with beverage labelling equipment.
• Practical HACCP experience within a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding capabilities.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Experience supervising, training, and supporting production staff.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, adjust, and pack down beverage manufacturing equipment.
• Perform changeovers and manage machine change parts.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and conduct preventative maintenance within competency levels.
• Monitor machine and process performance to ensure product quality standards are met.
• Identify and elevate quality or production concerns when required.
• Execute production runs according to schedules, job instructions, and SOPs.
• Train, mentor, supervise, and support production line operators.
• Accurately record production, quality, and operational data.
• Maintain high standards of workplace safety, cleanliness, organisation and hygiene.
