Job summary

Maxwell Recruitment are seeking a skilled Machine Operator for a client in Wallsend, NSW. You will operate machinery for bending and cutting reo bars, measure materials precisely, and assist with production quality control.

Responsibilities include using overhead cranes, inspecting equipment, interpreting drawings, and maintaining clear communication with team members to meet production targets. Day and afternoon shifts may apply; drug and alcohol testing is part of the interview process.

Qualifications

• Experience operating bending and cutting machinery for reo bars.
• Ability to take precise measurements and interpret drawings.

Job description

Maxwell Recruitment are currently seeking skilled and dedicated Machine Operators to join our client based in Wallsend.

As a Machine Operator you will be responsible for operating machines used for bending and cutting reo bars.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate machinery for bending and cutting reo bars according to provided specifications
• Accurately measure materials to ensure precision and quality in the production process
• Operate overhead cranes to move and position materials as needed
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery
• Prior experience in machine operation, preferably in the construction or manufactury industry, but not necessary
• Proficient in taking exact measurements
• Ability to interpret drawings
• Good communication skills
