Job summary

Bindaree Food Group on the Gold Coast is seeking a Breakdown Crew Operator to support our high‑volume production facility. You’ll strip, clean and prepare equipment, reassemble machinery, test equipment and perform basic troubleshooting to keep lines running smoothly and safely.

Based at Burleigh Heads, QLD, you’ll work night shifts in a stable, full‑time role with competitive pay, parental leave, salary packaging and a referral bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, food production or maintenance is highly regarded.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work safely and to high hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Strip, clean and prepare production equipment after each shift.
• Reassemble machinery and consumables for the next production run.
• Test equipment and perform basic troubleshooting to identify issues.
• Change, clean and maintain dies, knives and blades.
• Ensure all machine parts are stored safely.
• Complete cleaning of high-risk equipment to hygiene standards.
• Return equipment to designated locations.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and confidence working with equipment.

Your new day to day:

• Strip, clean and prepare production equipment following each shift
• Reassemble machinery and consumables ready for the next production run
• Test equipment and perform basic troubleshooting to identify issues
• Change, clean and maintain dies, knives and blades
• Ensure all machine parts are accounted for and safely stored
• Complete cleaning of high‑risk equipment to required hygiene standards
• Return equipment and production items to designated locations
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and confidence working with equipment
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Reliable, punctual and committed to meeting daily production deadlines
