Job summary

Shangri-La Sydney, located in The Rocks, Sydney NSW, seeks a Food & Beverage Supervisor for the Lobby Lounge. This full-time role focuses on leading daily operations, delivering exemplary guest service and maintaining Shangri-La standards.

You will guide the Lounge team, uphold safety and quality, manage reservations, and contribute to a premium guest experience in a luxury hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in food and beverage, restaurants, hotels or similar hospitality settings.
• Supervisory or team-leadership experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of luxury hospitality service standards and guest-focused approach.
• Ability to stay calm, organised and solutions-focused during busy service periods.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and responsible service practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Lobby Lounge operations and maintain high service and presentation standards.
• Lead, supervise and support the Lounge team, including staff deployment, training and coaching.
• Engage with guests, manage reservations and orders, provide menu recommendations and handle feedback professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and safety; ensure HACCP and audit requirements are met.
• Monitor stock, wastage and costs; manage resources responsibly.
