Job summary

1 Hotel Melbourne is seeking a passionate Leisure Sales Manager to connect discerning luxury travellers with our nature-inspired experiences along the Yarra River. You’ll lead leisure sales initiatives, build relationships with travel advisors, consortia and wholesale partners, domestically and internationally, and collaborate with the broader commercial team.

Qualifications

• Experience in leisure sales, luxury hospitality or travel trade.
• Established network within luxury leisure market, or the drive to build one.
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation and business development skills.
• Understanding of luxury travel distribution, consortia and leisure market dynamics.
• Proactive, self-motivated approach with a track record of identifying and converting opportunities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Genuine appreciation for sustainability, wellbeing and evolving luxury traveller expectations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with luxury leisure travel advisors, consortia, wholesalers and key distribution partners.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities across domestic and international leisure markets.
• Proactively represent 1 Hotel Melbourne through sales calls, industry events, networking opportunities and trade shows.
• Develop strategic account plans that drive revenue, market share and long-term partnerships.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management, Marketing and Reservations to maximise opportunities and deliver strong commercial results.
• Host familiarisation visits, property experiences and client events that bring the 1 Hotels story to life.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities within the luxury leisure segment.
• Be a passionate ambassador for our brand, our people and our commitment to sustainability.
