Job summary

Crystalbrook Kingsley in Newcastle seeks an experienced Executive Housekeeper to lead the Housekeeping department, ensuring rooms, public spaces and guest areas meet the hotel’s premium standards.

You will plan, organise and develop operations, directing the team and collaborating with hotel leaders to elevate the guest experience while managing budgets, labour, stock and resources for optimum efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience leading housekeeping teams in hotel/leisure sector.
• Experience managing a department and its Profit and Loss.
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting and cost control.
• Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping activities to ensure standards are consistently met.
• Establish and maintain departmental standards, policies and procedures.
• Set targets, schedules, budgets and priorities for the housekeeping team.
• Manage budgets via stock control, cost management and staffing.
• Recruit, lead and develop the housekeeping team with a focus on training and teamwork.
• Provide direction to supervisors and coordinators; mentor staff.
• Conduct regular meetings to review trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to align on room availability and guest experience.
• Communicate with Front Office to coordinate operations and priorities.
• Monitor appearance and performance of the team; uphold grooming and conduct standards.
• Review guest feedback and drive continuous improvements.
