Job summary

Osborn House in Bundanoon NSW is seeking an experienced Hotel Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of accommodation services, dining and guest experiences, ensuring consistently high standards and memorable guest stays.

You will supervise reservations, reception, housekeeping, maintenance and security; manage budgets and purchasing; coordinate events; monitor guest feedback and safety compliance; and motivate staff to deliver outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading hotel operations and guest services.
• Strong leadership and staff management abilities.
• Excellent guest service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and operational management capabilities.
• Sound financial management including budgeting and purchasing.
• Knowledge of hotel reservation systems and property management software.

Responsibilities

• Directing and overseeing day-to-day operation of accommodation services, including reservations, reception, guest services, housekeeping and room service activities.
• Supervising housekeeping, property maintenance and security arrangements to ensure high standards.
• Planning and supervising restaurant, bar, events and other hospitality activities with staff.
• Monitoring guest satisfaction, reviewing feedback and complaints, and taking action to improve service.
• Overseeing hotel accounting, purchasing and expenditure, budgeting and cost controls.
• Managing purchasing activities, supplier relationships and stock requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety and liquor licensing obligations.
• Coordinating and supervising hotel staff, rostering, duties and training.
• Monitoring reservations, occupancy and accommodation requirements for efficient use of rooms.
• Developing and implementing operational policies and service standards.
• Coordinating property inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Providing guests with information on local attractions and services.
