Job summary

Osborn House in Bundanoon, NSW, seeks a talented Hotel Manager to lead day-to-day operations for a 5-star luxury boutique hotel with a renowned restaurant and stunning views of Morton National Park.

You will oversee reservations, housekeeping, staffing, budgeting and guest services while ensuring safety, compliance and exceptional service. A minimum of 3 years in hotel management is required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as Hotel Manager.
• Strong leadership and staff management across departments.
• Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess guest satisfaction and resolve complaints.
• Strong organisational and operational management skills.
• Sound budgeting, purchasing and cost control.
• Knowledge of hotel reservation systems and PMS software.
• Ability to coordinate reservations and hotel activities.

Responsibilities

• Directing and overseeing the day-to-day operation of accommodation services, including reservations, reception, guest services, housekeeping and room service activities.
• Supervising housekeeping, property maintenance and security arrangements to ensure high standards.
• Planning, coordinating and supervising restaurant, bar, function, wedding and other hospitality activities with staff.
• Monitoring guest satisfaction, reviewing feedback and complaints, and implementing improvements.
• Overseeing hotel accounting, purchasing and operational expenditure, including budgets and financial controls.
• Managing purchasing activities, supplier relationships and stock requirements for efficient supply.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety and liquor licensing obligations and regulations.
• Coordinating and supervising hotel staff, rostering, training and staffing levels.
• Monitoring reservations, occupancy and accommodation requirements to optimize use of rooms.
• Developing and implementing operational policies and service standards.
• Coordinating inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance to keep facilities safe and presentable.
• Providing guests with information on local attractions and transport and assisting with arrangements.
