Job summary

Anglo American is seeking an experienced Longwall Superintendent to lead the Grosvenor Mine longwall operation in Moranbah, QLD. The role demands a strong safety mindset, ownership of production targets, and seamless collaboration with maintenance, engineering and technical services to sustain high performance.

You will drive safety, planning and operational excellence, coaching leaders, and ensuring compliance with Queensland coal mining regulations.

Qualifications

• Extensive operational leadership experience within underground coal mining.
• Strong expertise in longwall production and second workings.
• Evidence of leading large operational teams and coordinating across functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible safety leadership across all longwall activities.
• Lead longwall production teams to achieve safety and production objectives.
• Coordinate daily priorities across production, maintenance and technical functions.
• Monitor longwall performance and respond to changing conditions.
• Ensure compliance with safety and site standards.
