Job summary

Glencore Australia is hiring a Longwall Electrician for Oaky North Underground, Oaky Creek Coal, Tieri, QLD. This full-time role operates on an even-time 7/7 roster, providing electrical support to underground operations and performing preventative and breakdown maintenance.

The successful candidate will hold a QLD Electrical Licence, EEHA and Standard 11, with experience in diagnostics, fault finding, gas monitoring and interpreting electrical schematics; HV and PLC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Longwall/Development experience will be highly regarded.
• Hold a current QLD Electrical Licence.
• EEHA certification.
• Hold a current Standard 11.
• Experience with diagnostics and fault finding, gas monitoring and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Experience with high voltage and PLC will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical support to the underground operation and perform statutory inspections.
• Complete preventative and breakdown maintenance duties.
• Display high work standards.
• Influence and maintain a positive team culture and drive the safety culture.

The Role:

• Full-time permanent
• Even-time 7/7 rostered position

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Providing electrical support to the underground operation and statutory inspections
• Completing preventative and breakdown maintenance duties
• Displaying high work standards

About you:

• 2+ years Longwall/Development experience will be highly regarded

• Have previous experience in diagnostics and fault finding, gas monitoring and the ability to interpret electrical schematics
• Experience with high voltage and programmable logic control (PLC) will be highly regarded
