Job summary

Glencore is seeking a Skilled Mobile Equipment Operator to join the Oaky Creek Coal team in Tieri, QLD. This 7 days on/7 days off roster requires experience with heavy equipment and a strong safety culture.

You will operate dozer/loader/excavator/grader, perform routine maintenance, support water management and environmental programs, and work with a tight-knit team to deliver rehabilitation and earthworks.

Qualifications

• Experience operating mobile equipment in mining or heavy industry.
• Current Queensland HR Driver Licence.
• Competencies in dozer/loader/excavator/grader preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
• Strong commitment to safe work practices and environmental responsibilities.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to contribute positively to team outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of mobile equipment to undertake rehabilitation, civil construction and earthworks.
• Contribute to reclamation and rehabilitation dozer operations for land restoration.
• Carry out routine servicing and minor maintenance of equipment.
• Support site water management activities and related infrastructure maintenance.
• Contribute to environmental management and high housekeeping standards.
• Collaborate within a small team to achieve objectives.

Reporting to the Surface Superintendent, an exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and safety-focused Skilled Mobile Equipment Operator to join the Oaky Creek Coal team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Demonstrating and promoting a strong commitment to safety and compliance with site procedures
• Operating a range of mobile equipment to undertake rehabilitation, civil construction and earthworks activities
• Conducting reclamation and rehabilitation dozer operations in support of mine closure and land restoration programs
• Operating service trucks and carrying out routine servicing and minor maintenance of mobile equipment
• Supporting site water management activities, including water transfer systems, pipelines and associated infrastructure maintenance
• Contributing to environmental management initiatives and maintaining high housekeeping standards across work areas
• Working collaboratively within a small team environment to deliver operational and rehabilitation objectives

About you:

• Previous experience operating mobile equipment within surface mining, civil construction, earthmoving or similar heavy industry environments
• Current Queensland HR Driver Licence
• Current competencies in dozer, loader, excavator and/or grader operations will be highly regarded
• Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
• Strong commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement
• Demonstrated understanding of environmental responsibilities and sustainable work practices
• Reliable, self-motivated and willing to contribute positively to team outcomes

This is a 7 days on/7days off rostered position.
