Job summary

Glencore's Oaky Creek Coal is seeking a motivated Skilled Mobile Equipment Operator to join the team. Reporting to the Surface Superintendent, you will operate a range of mobile equipment to support rehabilitation, civil construction and earthworks, while prioritising safety and compliance with site procedures.

• Previous experience operating mobile equipment within surface mining, civil construction, earthmoving or similar heavy industry environments.
• Current Queensland HR Driver Licence.
• Competencies in dozer, loader, excavator and/or grader operations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
• Strong commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated understanding of environmental responsibilities and sustainable work practices.
• Reliable, self-motivated and positive team contributor.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of mobile equipment to undertake rehabilitation, civil construction and earthworks activities.
• Demonstrate and promote a strong commitment to safety and compliance with site procedures.
• Conduct reclamation and rehabilitation dozer operations in support of mine closure and land restoration programs.
• Operate service trucks and carry out routine servicing and minor maintenance of mobile equipment.
• Support site water management activities, including water transfer systems, pipelines and associated infrastructure maintenance.
• Contribute to environmental management initiatives and maintain high housekeeping standards across work areas.
• Work collaboratively within a small team to deliver operational and rehabilitation objectives.

About you:

• Previous experience operating mobile equipment within surface mining, civil construction, earthmoving or similar heavy industry environments
