Job summary

Glencore is seeking a Longwall Electrician for the Oaky North Underground operation, working on the Oaky Creek Coal site in Queensland. Eligible candidates are current employees or contractors, with 2+ years in longwall/development and valid EEHA and Standard 11 licenses.

Role involves electrical support, preventative and breakdown maintenance, and fostering a strong safety culture. Competitive benefits and a 7/7 roster are part of the package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Longwall/Development experience.
• Hold a current QLD Electrical Licence EEHA certification.
• Hold a current Standard 11.
• Have previous experience in diagnostics and fault finding, gas monitoring and the ability to interpret electrical schematics.
• Experience with high voltage and programmable logic control (PLC) will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Providing electrical support to the underground operation and statutory inspections.
• Completing preventative and breakdown maintenance duties.
• Displaying high work standards.
• Influencing and maintaining a positive team culture and driving the safety culture.

The Role:

Full-time permanent Even-time 7/7 rostered position

In this role you will be responsible for:
