Job summary

Weathertex in the Hunter Region is seeking a skilled Logyard Operator to join our manufacturing team. This full-time role focuses on safe operation of excavators, front-end loaders and forklifts, with a hands-on approach and a strong safety culture.

You will perform pre-start checks, move logs and materials, and work collaboratively to support production while adhering to procedures. Weekday hours, no weekend work, and ongoing training are provided in a supportive, Australian-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy mobile plant (excavators, loaders, forklifts).
• Commitment to safe work practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, front-end loaders and forklifts in the logyard.
• Perform pre-start inspections and routine checks on equipment.
• Move, load and handle logs and materials safely within the yard.
• Monitor plant operation and report faults or hazards promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow procedures.
