Job summary

AKD Softwoods is seeking a highly motivated Log Grab Operator to join our log sort team in Victoria. The role is permanent full-time, 38 hours per week, on afternoon shift from 3:30pm to 1:40am, Monday to Friday with potential overtime.

You will unload log trucks, load logs onto the sorter, and ensure the green mill stays stocked with logs. Applicants must hold a Loader licence; forklift experience is preferred, and a flexible, safety‑minded attitude is essential for success in this busy

Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Log Grab Operator, to join our log sort team. Our emphasis is on finding the ‘right person’ to continue to build on our team and success-oriented culture. This position requires a licensed operator to work 38 hours per week between Monday and Friday on afternoon shift. This is permanent full-time position with shift loadings applied to this roster.

This position requires an experienced operator to unload log trucks, loading and unloading logs from our log sorter and ensuring our green mill is stocked with logs on a regular basis.

The right candidate will have great communication skills and a friendly nature, with proven experience maintaining strong relationships with customers and contractors.

Hours of work are 3:30pm to 1:40pm, 4 shifts per week with the potential for overtime.

The successful applicant will have:
