Job summary

Amazon Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a team across the 13:00–23:00 shift, coordinating with Area and Operations Managers to drive safety, efficiency and productivity in a fast-paced, 24/7 distribution network.

The role requires inspecting staffing, training new associates, tracking performance metrics and reporting on operational outputs, with a focus on timely issue resolution and SOP compliance.

Qualifications

• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Can lift up to 20kg, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 10 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Experience managing teams.
• Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to fostering a strong health and safety culture by ensuring adherence to relevant laws and internal policies
• Assist in the daily oversight and management of departmental tasks
• Conduct staff debriefs, ensuring all paperwork is accurately and thoroughly completed
• Perform duties in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Allocate tasks to staff as needed to maintain workflow and meet daily performance targets
• Ensure adequate staffing levels for your area, including managing call outs for training, addressing absences, overseeing performance, providing coaching, and continually monitoring department productivity
• Support the onboarding and training of new associates to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge to perform required tasks
• Collaborate with the Area Managers and Operations Managers in tracking, analyzing, and reporting metrics
• Support the Area Managers and Operations Managers in identifying and understanding factors contributing to the achievement or shortfall of objectives
• Monitor and report on associate hours and schedules
• Address and resolve process-related issues within the area as needed
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of equipment defects
