Job summary

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners Australia (MHIAA) is seeking a Logistics Officer to join the team at Regents Park, NSW. The role covers coordinating inbound/outbound shipments, liaising with 3PLs and warehouses, and maintaining accurate logistics data to keep products moving.

You will manage documentation, monitor transport and warehousing activities, and provide timely reports. A background in logistics and an eye for detail are essential for success in this busy role.

Qualifications

• Two or more years’ experience in accounting, logistics or a related environment.
• A degree in accounting, logistics, supply chain or a related combination of study.
• Experience with import and export.
• Experience with inventory planning, stock reconciliation or master data maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export shipment arrangements with factories, freight forwarders, warehouses and 3PL providers.
• Prepare and manage import, export and shipping documentation.
• Issue shipment notifications and status updates to warehouses and full-container-load customers.
• Arrange interstate stock transfers and follow through with logistics partners.
• Book and post inbound shipments accurately in company systems.
• Monitor warehousing and transport activities to support timely product movement.
• Prepare regular logistics activity and inventory reports.
• Resolve logistics issues by keeping internal and external stakeholders informed.
• Provide backup support for purchase order placement, stock planning, reconciliation and master data maintenance.

The Opportunity

MHIAA is seeking a Logistics Officer to join its Logistics team at Regents Park, New South Wales. This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Logistics Team Leader. The role supports the coordination and monitoring of inbound and outbound logistics activities, including shipments, transport, warehousing and documentation. You will work closely with third-party logistics providers, warehouses, freight forwarders, factories, customers and internal teams to keep products moving and stakeholders informed. Success in this role will come from accurate administration, clear communication, strong follow-through and the ability to manage several priorities at once. You will also be cross-trained to provide backup support for inventory planning activities.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly when handling shipping documents and system transactions.
• Practical problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to following up issues.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills across internal teams, customers and logistics partners.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A self-motivated and reliable approach to completing time-sensitive logistics tasks.
