Job summary

Northrop Grumman Australia is seeking a Logistics Assessor for the KC-30A Supply Chain team in Springfield. The role ensures proper cataloguing, codification, and data maintenance to keep aircraft operations and maintenance stocked with critical parts.

You'll work across forecasting, procurement support and data management, with Defence-specific training provided. A strong attention to detail and willingness to learn are essential as you contribute to mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, supply planning, or materials management.
• Ability to interpret technical and supply data across multiple systems.
• Familiarity with codification, cataloguing, and material master data management.

Responsibilities

• Provide Logistics Assessor assessment to initiate codification of stock items for the program.
• Cataloguing and codification and data maintenance of all items for stock or purchase.
• Coordinate inquiries between Supply Chain, Engineering and other program areas and the customer.
• Maintain key data sets and system tools to ensure system health.
• Work with Supply Planners to develop part forecasting and supply planning.
• Support KC-30A demand forecasts and analyze historical consumption and inventory levels.
• Identify potential shortages, supply risks and future material requirements.

About the Team

You'll join a highly experienced Supply Planning team supporting the KC-30A Program and working at the heart of a critical Defence aviation capability.

This opportunity has been created as part of a planned transition within the team, with a long‑serving team member moving into retirement after building extensive knowledge and experience across the program. As a result, we're looking for someone who is eager to learn, develop and grow their career within Northrop Grumman Australia.

Key Responsibilities

Providing Logistics Assessor Assessment to initiate codification of all items expected to be required to be held in stock or purchased for the Program, both in Customer and Northrup Grumman systems.

Cataloguing & Codification and data maintenance of all items expected to be required to be held in stock or purchased for the Program, both in Customer and Northrup Grumman systems.

Co-ordination of enquiries and requirements between Supply Chain, Engineering and other parts of the Program and Customer were needed to interpret technical and supply data

Maintain all applicable key data sets and system tools to effectively promote system health in both NG and CoA tool sets.

Work directly with Supply Planners to develop practical experience in part forecasting and supply planning.

Assist with developing and maintaining KC-30A demand forecasts.

Analyse historical consumption, inventory levels, maintenance requirements, and emerging demand.

Support the identification of potential shortages, supply risks and future material requirements.

About You

You’ll bring:

The ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA security clearance at NV1.

A proactive, can‑do attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and take ownership of your work.

The ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, including technical and operational teams.

Experience in coding, codification, cataloguing or material master data management. (Highly regarded)

Exposure to SAP or other ERP systems. (Highly regarded)
