Job summary

Northrop Grumman Australia is recruiting a Logistics Assessor for the KC-30A Supply Chain team in Springfield. You will support inventory planning, forecasting, procurement and data management to ensure critical parts are available for aircraft operations and maintenance.

The role requires a proactive, detail‑oriented individual with the ability to build stakeholder relationships and an NV1 security clearance or the ability to obtain one. Defence training and development will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with coding, codification, cataloguing or material master data management.
• Exposure to SAP or other ERP systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA security clearance at NV1.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong stakeholder relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Logistics Assessor assessment to codify items needed for stock or procurement.
• Catalogue, codify and maintain data for program items in NG and customer systems.
• Coordinate inquiries between Supply Chain, Engineering and other program areas.
• Maintain data sets and tools to promote system health across NG/CoA tools.
• Work with Supply Planners to develop demand forecasts and planning.
• Assist with developing KC-30A demand forecasts.
• Analyze historical consumption, inventory, maintenance, and demand.
• Identify shortages, supply risks and future material requirements.

This role plays an important part in ensuring the right materials, parts and inventory are available to support aircraft operations and maintenance. About the Team

You'll join a highly experienced Supply Planning team supporting the KC-30A Program and working at the heart of a critical Defence aviation capability. This opportunity has been created as part of a planned transition within the team, with a long-serving team member moving into retirement after building extensive knowledge and experience across the program. As a result, we're looking for someone who is eager to learn, develop and grow their career within Northrop Grumman Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing Logistics Assessor Assessment to initiate codification of all items expected to be required to be held in stock or purchased for the Program, both in Customer and Northrup Grumman systems.
• Cataloguing & Codification and data maintenance of all items expected to be required to be held in stock or purchased for the Program, both in Customer and Northrup Grumman systems.
• Co-ordination of enquiries and requirements between Supply Chain, Engineering and other parts of the Program and Customer were needed to interpret technical and supply data
• Maintain all applicable key data sets and system tools to effectively promote system health in both NG and CoA tool sets.
• Work directly with Supply Planners to develop practical experience in part forecasting and supply planning.
• Assist with developing and maintaining KC-30A demand forecasts.
• Analyse historical consumption, inventory levels, maintenance requirements, and emerging demand.
• Support the identification of potential shortages, supply risks and future material requirements.

About You

You’ll bring:

• The ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA security clearance at NV1.
• A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and take ownership of your work.
• The ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, including technical and operational teams.
• Experience in coding, codification, cataloguing or material master data management. (Highly regarded)
• Exposure to SAP or other ERP systems. (Highly regarded)
