Job summary

Northrop Grumman Australia (NGA) invites engineers to join Exmouth-based team delivering a major Defence communications capability. You will contribute to integration, verification and testing across hardware, software and infrastructure, working with technicians and engineers to bring the system into service.

Australian Citizenship and NV1 security clearance required, or ability to obtain; relocation and remote living allowances are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems engineering, integration, testing, verification or validation within Defence or another complex technical environment.

The Role:

Based in Exmouth, you'll help bring a major Defence communications capability into service through integration, verification and testing activities across hardware, software and infrastructure. It's a role for someone who enjoys getting beyond the paperwork, working alongside technicians and engineers to solve problems, investigate issues and see systems perform in the real world.

The program is still growing, which means the work continues to evolve. You'll have the opportunity to contribute across testing, maintenance support, systems engineering and operational readiness while building experience that is difficult to get in more narrowly defined engineering roles.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You might be an Avionics, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineer with a few years' experience, or you may already be working in aviation, sustainment, technical services or a maintenance support environment.

• Have experience in systems engineering, integration, testing, verification or validation within Defence or another complex technical environment.
• Enjoy moving between hands-on problem solving, technical analysis and engineering documentation.
• Are naturally curious and comfortable working through problems that don't always have obvious answers.
• Like collaborating with others and contributing to a small team where everyone plays a part.
• Are looking for broader exposure, genuine ownership and the opportunity to help shape a growing capability.
• Hold, or are eligible for, membership with Engineers Australia.

This role is likely to appeal to engineers from Defence, SATCOM, radar, communications, ground systems or electronic systems environments who want more variety, more technical ownership and greater exposure to integration and test activities.
