Job summary

Mission Australia in Mount Barker is seeking a Local Area Coordinator on a part-time fixed-term basis until 30 June 2027. You will support people with disability to build confidence, access supports through the NDIS, and participate in community life.

Join a values-driven team; you'll work with families, carers, service providers, and the NDIA to deliver person-centred support, manage a caseload, and meet contractual and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Human Services, Social Work, Community Services or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting people with disability using a person-centred, strengths-based approach.
• Experience managing a caseload and delivering positive outcomes within an NDIS or community services environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a KPI-driven environment.
• Strong digital literacy, with confidence using client management systems, databases and administrative platforms.
• Resilience, adaptability and the ability to navigate change while maintaining a focus on quality participant outcomes.

Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities

Requirements for Success

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence with no restrictions.
• Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
