Job summary

Bentley Quarry is seeking an experienced Loader Driver to join our operations team on a full-time basis in Bentley. You will operate front-end loaders and other heavy plant equipment to load trucks and move quarry materials safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have a White Card, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work both with a team and independently in a fast-paced environment. Prior quarry or heavy-plant experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating front-end loaders and heavy plant machinery in a quarry or construction environment.
• Valid White Card (Construction Induction) required.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail in equipment operation and maintenance.
• Preferably 5+ years of experience in quarry, mining or heavy plant operations.
• Experience with multiple types of plant equipment and familiarity with quarry operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders and other heavy plant machinery to load trucks, storage areas and other designated locations with quarry materials.
• Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance on plant equipment to ensure optimal operational condition.
• Follow all safety protocols, standard operating procedures and site-specific requirements at all times.
• Maintain accurate records of materials loaded, equipment usage and daily operational activities.
• Communicate effectively with other team members, supervisors and truck drivers to coordinate loading operations and ensure workflow efficiency.
• Monitor stockpile levels and material quality, reporting any issues or concerns to management.
• Operate equipment in compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
• Contribute to a positive and safe workplace culture by actively participating in toolbox meetings and safety initiatives.

This is a crucial position within our quarry operations, where you will be responsible for operating heavy plant machinery to load and transport materials efficiently and safely. As a Loader Driver, you will play a vital role in maintaining the productivity and safety standards of our quarry operations, ensuring that all materials are handled according to our strict quality and safety protocols.

Key responsibilities
