Job summary

Bentley Quarry in New South Wales is seeking an experienced Excavator Driver to operate heavy digging equipment on a full-time basis at our Bentley site. You will work hands-on in quarrying and plant operations, adhering to site plans and safety procedures to keep projects on schedule.

The role requires strong track record operating excavators, excellent safety awareness, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Current and valid excavator operating licence or certificate.
• Minimum 5 years' proven experience operating excavators in quarry or construction.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations for plant & machinery.
• Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and ability to follow instructions.
• Physical fitness and punctuality.
• Willingness to undertake additional training as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other heavy machinery to extract and load materials according to site plans and specifications.
• Perform pre-operational checks to ensure safe working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of work, materials moved, and equipment maintenance.
• Follow all health and safety protocols and site-specific procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate site operations.
• Assist with maintenance and care of excavation equipment as required.
• Adapt to changing site conditions and adjust work methods accordingly.
• Report hazards or concerns promptly.
