Job summary

Grand Pacific Health in Broken Hill is seeking a Peer Worker to provide strengths-based, trauma-informed peer support within the Psychological Therapies for Underserviced Populations team. This part-time role supports recovery-oriented outcomes and values lived experience.

Qualifications

• Direct lived experience of significant mental health challenges and service use.
• Willingness to work towards Cert IV within the first 6 months of employment.
• Ability to build mutual relationships with consumers and work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Thorough understanding of personal boundaries, ethics, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide strengths-based, trauma-informed and recovery-oriented peer support to individuals and groups.
• Advocate for consumers and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and external services to improve care.
