Job summary

The Cottage Café & Restaurant, Berrima is seeking an experienced chef for a permanent, full-time role in our family-owned café in Berrima NSW. Salary ranges from $60K to $80K per year.

You will plan menus, monitor dish quality, cost items, lead and develop staff, and ensure hygiene and safe kitchen practices. The ideal candidate has 2+ years experience, strong communication, and a passion for cooking with a team mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in busy restaurant kitchens.
• Able to lead and develop kitchen staff.
• Willing to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plan menus and estimate food and labour costs.
• Monitor quality of dishes from prep to presentation.
• Cost menu items and source quality products.
• Discuss preparation issues with management and staff.
• Demonstrate techniques for efficient kitchen operation.
• Enforce hygiene in line with WHS standards.
• Manage recipe development for correct quantities.

Chef – Full Time – Immediate Start Storybook Holdings Pty Ltd – T/A The Cottage Café & Restaurant Position:- Full Time Salary Range:- $60K - $80K The Cottage Café & Restaurant, Berrima is seeking an experienced chef to join our team.

The position is permanent full-time and based at our family owned and operated Café restaurant in Berrima NSW. To be considered for the position you must have extensive experience working in a busy restaurant kitchen. The duties you will be expected to complete in this position include but are not limited to: Responsibilities:

• Planning menus and estimating food and labour costs
• Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
• Costing menu items and sourcing quality products at competitive prices
• Discussing food preparation issues with Managers and Kitchen staff
• Demonstrating techniques required for the operation of an efficient kitchen
• Enforcing hygiene regulations in line with WHS regulations and best practice
• Managing recipe development to ensure the right combination and quantity of food

Experience and Requirements:
