Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in high-volume café, restaurant or catering environments.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Reliable, punctual and a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and service standards.
• Assist with daily food preparation and kitchen mise en place.
• Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation and portion control.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with stock rotation and inventory control.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
• Comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Assist with catering production and event preparation as required.
• Work collaboratively with chefs, cooks and front-of-house staff during busy service periods.
